There's no such thing a perfect people

I love that song by Natalie Grant. It is a good reminder for me...and I do have to keep reminding myself that very thing. I go around thinking every one else really has it all together and that I'm the only one who just doesn't quite get it. It's crazy, but even when I see people who are having a bit of a rough time, I still don't think of them as imperfect. I assume they are dealing with it perfectly and not having issues with whatever it is they are going through. I constantly wonder what is wrong with me that I haven't seemed to figure life out better.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Rom 3:23) tells us that no one is perfect! I am thankful to have these reminders occasionally. Did you know that Catholics believe that Jesus' mother Mary was sinless? I find that very interesting, since my bible tells me no one is perfect, it says ALL have sinned! Which means we are all just struggling to do our best on this earth until it is time to go home. When I remind myself of that, it is so much easier to accept all my deficiencies. And even better it is helpful in forgiving others when their struggle to do their best in this life hurts me. I remind myself we are all just doing the best we can with what we've been given. And that those who don't have the Lord as a guide, friend, helper, support, have it even harder than me because they don't have Him to lean on.

Sound Effects

I LOVE sound effects. You know those movies where they start out that you don't see any of the characters, but you hear them typing. Or perhaps they even show some one typing and you can hear the keys? I love that :) It is one of my favorite sound effects. I was watching an older movie from the eighties or maybe even the seventies the other day and maybe the sound effects were a little louder than they should have been because I really noticed them...more than usual. I especially liked the sound of them running on pavement. I miss that sound in newer movies. Now don't get me wrong, I think there have been a lot of improvements on many levels in movie making. But the thing is, I LOVE sound effects! Sometimes I try to picture the person who is making them. I've seem some documentary type shows where they show how it is (or was) done, so I have an idea of how they get (or got) a lot of the sounds. So when I hear the sound of people running, I can see the person watching the film and trying to match the steps. That's another thing I like to listen for...ill timed sound effects. Too much would ruin a movie, but a little bit off on an effect here and there is kind of fun, like a treasure hunt ha ha!
